The beauty of connecting

Sooooo, this week I thought I’d write an appreciation blog.
As a someone who’s grown up in the UK, I’ve sometimes missed out on learning about parts of my Zambian culture as well as meeting a variety of people from Zambia.
Being a blogger, I’ve found myself alienated at times because as much as my family and friends are mostly supportive of what I do, they do sometimes come out with some insensitive stuff because they don’t really understand it all. Yes, I spend a lot of time on my phone but you wouldn’t believe how much can be done on a phone from scheduling and editing posts (Instagram or blogs) to finding new ways to promote yourself and actually taking good enough pictures to attract people.
Earlier this year I was introduced to connect accounts. They’re basically Snap Chat accounts where one person will host a day and talk a variety of stuff from what they do any advice they have. There are Snap Chats for Africans across the world, Zambians across the world, Zambians across the UK and Zambian bloggers but to name a few. I know there are connects for other countries, bloggers in general and different faiths but I haven’t had much interaction with them.
On top of that, I’ve found myself in blogger groups via Instagram and Facebook where I’ve been introduced to the lovliest of ladies and gents that give so much support and insight in a world that isn’t always so straight forward.
Between the blogger groups, connects and Instagram, I’ve met some amazing people. I have new found friends, new found connections and best of all, people that motivate me and get it!
It doesn’t matter what sector you work in or where your hobbies are, connecting with new people is very important and can change a lot of what you do for the better.
If you’re intrigued about the Snap Chat connects and want to see a little more of what I’m talking about, click the links below. The Instagram pages will lead you to the Snap chat and any other relevant pages. If you’re a blogger who wants to connect, leave a comment or send a message!
