Puriskin Skincare – Christmas came early (AD)

As a blogger, I look to work with brands that share my values but its very rare I get to work with brands that are owned by women that look like me AND share my values so you can imagine my excitement when I got to try a couple of Puriskin products which also happen to make great stocking fillers!

About Puriskin & Their Products

Puriskin was developed in conjunction with hospital practitioners with the mission of supporting healing and facilitating the healing work of others.

All products are made with natural ingredients with each one targeted to achieve results. As the products are developed, Puriskin works closely with practitioners and clinical experts to expand their knowledge through case studies and feedback.

Products are Vegetarian Society Vegan Approved, not tested on animals, stored in recyclable packaging and made in the UK. On top of that, they are also multi-award winning from the International Beauty Awards to the AI Business Excellence Awards.

Resurfacing Mask

The resurfacing mask focuses on hydrating, brightening and detoxifying the skin whilst cleansing and gently soothing. The product includes Aloe Vera which helps to rehydrate the skin and Kaolin which is a mineral clay that targets impurities. The mask targets acne, age spots, blemishes, clamminess, crepey skin, congestion, cystic acne, dermatitis and discolouration.

Foot Cream

The foot cream is designed to refresh and protect by including Peppermint which helps to cool and deodorise – tea Tree oils to help as an antiseptic and anti-fungal – Avocado oil and a Coconut oil base which creates a lightweight and non-greasy formula. The foot cream targets splits and cracks, hardened skin, minor wounds and infections and provides added relief from general discomfort such as overheating, aches and cramps.

What did I think?

I have very sensitive skin so my skincare routine includes the same products. You can imagine my horror when my old face mask was discontinued. I don’t know how to describe what happens to my skin but over the last year and a half, I seem to come into contact with something, no idea what but I come out in a rash and my skin becomes inflamed. It burns slightly and itches. I have been using the facemask periodically each week 1-2 times. I can only describe the feeling on my skin as cooling. It’s as if someone is blowing a light breeze onto my skin so when I’m having one of my episodes, it’s extremely calming.

When it comes to my feet, I’m not someone that normally pays close attention. I put lotion on my feet, paint them once in a while and that’s about it so when the product that intrigued me became my favourite, I  was pleasantly surprised that it became my favourite product! When they say lightweight and non-greasy, they’re not lying. The added peppermint is so refreshing it makes you feel like you’re walking on air whilst your feet look like you actually care.

Overall, I love what Puriskin stands for and would highly recommend the mask and the foot cream. Not only are they great products but they’re also made ethically by a company that cares – win, win!
