Calling all foodies - Yum

So yesterday, I went out for lunch with my lovely mum at a place called Yum which is on Stranmillis and just outside the city centre in Belfast.
I first went to Yum last October for my birthday with my friends and was pleasantly surprised to see how cheap their lunch menu is! You can get 1 course for £7.95 or 2 courses for £8.95 between 12 & 5pm.
I have tried their starters, mains and desserts. As a dessert person, I’m not huge on their chocolate fudge cake which is my favourite cake. I ordered it twice and the first time it was alright but the second time it didn’t taste very fresh.
The staff are normally quite good too but the waiter we had yesterday was lovely. He wasn’t pushy and he actually looked like he enjoyed his job!

Their starters are second to non! My favourites are their crispy chilly beef noodles and chicken tempura so yesterday I ordered both and we shared. Their portions are big enough to make the starters look like main meals! The noodles weren’t as good as I’ve had them before but I’d definitely still order them again. The chicken tempura was perfection!

For our mains, I got the pulled pork and my mum got the Thai curry. My burger was AMAZING! I have no idea what the sauce was in the little pot but it was great, especially on the pork. Their coleslow could have been fresher but I love the stuff and ate every last bit. Mums curry was nice too but a little bland.
My ratings are as follows…
Value for money – 8/10
Atmosphere – 8/10
Choice (in terms of food) – 8/10

Overall, Yum gets 8/10
